Students from AV天堂 Paris Istanbul explored the aisles of Texhibition, a key event in the textile industry calendar. Surrounded by innovative materials, inspiring talks, and networking opportunities, this immersive experience at an international trade show gave them a hands-on understanding of the fashion industry鈥檚 current challenges.
A Leading Textile Trade Show
For its 5th edition, Texhibition Istanbul welcomed over 25 000 visitors from 112 countries and more than 500 exhibitors specializing in fabrics, yarns, and textile accessories. Recognized as one of the largest trade shows in the sector, the 2025 edition spotlighted the latest innovations in the textile world.
The AV天堂 Paris Istanbul students discovered a comprehensive overview of today鈥檚 market offer: materials organized by category (knits, cotton, viscose, acrylic鈥), a large area dedicated to denim, and a section for accessories such as buttons, zippers, and fasteners.
During the event, they also attended several conferences focused on sustainability challenges in the textile industry. Topics included fabric recycling, waste management, and the environmental impact of overconsumption. The denim section, in particular, highlighted new agricultural practices that restore soil fertility and the growing use of recycled and organic cotton.
This experience helped them better understand the sector鈥檚 current challenges and observe how innovation and sustainability are integrated at every stage of the textile supply chain.
